Windows Phone has had its penetration into the middle east limited by the fact it did not support right to left languages, primarily Arabic and Hebrew.
In the above video by Alacom55 we have Arabic support in Windows Phone 8 demoed, which shows that this issue has clearly been resolved.
The most interesting about the video is how much about the OS changes when RTL support is invoked â€“ the app list is now unexpectedly on the left, and even the IE10 loading bar now comes from right to left.
