Fijutsu announced a raft of laptops yesterday, including one configuration of the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK UH 90/B1 weighing in at 913 g (2 pounds). It turns out the company also had another version of the same laptop, the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK UH 75/B1 , weighing in at only 777 g (1.7 pounds) making it the lightest 13.3 inch laptop in the world.

Fujitsu achieved this feat by halving the size of the battery cell, from  50 Wh to  25 Wh, which still delivers a solid 8.3 hours of battery life. Also removed is 128 GB of storage, with the heavier model having 256 GB and the lighter 128 GB.

The device features magnesium case with 4 layer satin-red paint with black trim and is powered by a Core i 5 – 7200 U running at 2.5 GHz and an Intel HD 620 GPU. It has a full HD 1080P 13.3 inch screen and 2 USB 3.0 and one USB-C ports, full-sized SD card slot, full-sized HDMI port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a fingerprint scanner and even Windows Hello, and seems to be a good antidote to Apple’s dongle hell.

The laptop was specially engineered for low weight, with Fujitsu even drilling holes in some parts for weight savings, but is still designed to be robust and durable.

It also features fast charging with 50% charge in 30 min possible. See the full specs below.
