Metro Exodus released back in February of this year, but the Metro hype train is apparently neither slowing down nor making any stops at any station any time soon.
While speaking with investors during a presentation regarding THQ Nordic’s Q1 2019 interim report, CEO Lars Wingefors revealed that the sequel to Metro Exodus is already in development by 4A Games.
The news about the Metro Exodus sequel wasn’t in the interim report itself, but was rather simply mentioned by Wingefors during the investor presentation, according to Twitter user @DarkDetectiveNL.
Volition's new Saints Row game is "well into development" and 4A Games is indeed working on the next Metro game, Wingefors said during the investor presentation.

Metro Exodus was fairly well acclaimed amongst reviewers (we seem to be an exception, giving it a 4.5 out of 10 in the official MSPoweruser review) so a sequel being in the works already isn’t too surprising.

Metro Exodus is a first-person shooter, developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver. The game is set in the year 2036, two years after the events of Metro: Last Light, and puts the player in the role of the protagonist Artyom. Artyom must navigate the harsh wilderness while also fighting for his life against grossly mutated creatures and hostile humans alike.
In related THQ Nordic news, Wingefors also revealed that a brand new Saints Row game is in the works along with a somewhat unexpected Timesplitters comeback.
