Wordfeud coming to Windows Phone as early as February 1st

Back in November we posted that the Norwegian developer behind Wordfeud, the popular scrabble-like game for the iPhone and Android handsets, was starting development of a Windows Phone 7 app.

Now, via an article  in a Norwegian newspaper about cheating in the game, the developer has made it clear we can expect the software to arrive very soon, with HÃ¥kon Bertheussen i Trondheim saying:

A separate version of the game for Microsoft’s new version 7.5 Mango their mobile platform Windows Phone Bertheussen hope to have ready as early as 1 February.

A platform that comes fully – even in the new Nokia smart phones .

This is great news for Windows Phone 7 users wanting a cross-platform word-game fix, and will likely cause Wordfeud to see a halo effect like KIK also, where Windows Phone 7 users drag their iOS and Android friend away from Words with Friends to share a game they can all actually play together.

Thanks lolrik for the tip.
