Wolfenstein II ramps up anti-Nazi marketing

Wolfenstein II hasn’t shied away from showcasing its Nazi-slaughtering goodness, and Bethesda has ramped up that marketing theme even more the past few weeks. Not only have they released anti-Nazi trailers on their YouTube page, but they have also found success in quick clips on Twitter, the most recent one with the hashtag “NoMoreNazis” and a Nazi getting punched in the face.

Another tweet from the beginning of October went viral with the tagline “Make America Nazi-Free Again,” a not-so-subtle reference to our current political climate.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus takes place in an alternate reality where Nazis won World War II and have set up a regime in America. The story will once again follow B.J. Blazkowicz as he attempts to fight back. The title is set to release on October 27, 2017. A launch trailer is expected to drop sometime tomorrow.

One thing’s for sure, Bethesda certainly knows how to get people talking about this game before release.
