With Windows 10, Consumers Can Buy Games Once And Play It Across Phones, Tablets, PCs And Xbox One


At Game Developers Conference, Phil Spencer from Microsoft took stage to discuss about the future of game development in Microsoft eco-system. He spoke about gaming in the today’s world which is very fragmented across devices. He wants gamers to be able to play the games they own across whatever device they want to use. He also admitted that Microsoft lost focus on gaming in Windows in the past few years and it is changing with the release of Windows 10. He said that Windows 10 universal app platform will allow developers to develop games that runs on phones, tablets, PCs and even Xbox One.

Microsoft will allow consumers to buy games once in any of the platform and allow them to play it on any Windows device including Xbox One. They will also support cross-play across platforms.
