With .NET and Xamarin, Developers can also develop apps in Visual Studio for iOS, Android and Windows

Besides opening up Windows for Android apps, Microsoft is also trying to set a stake for .NET Windows developers in the iOS and Android world by fully supporting Xamarin, the cross platform .NET environment for iOS and Android.

The news is not new, but Microsoft notes with Visual Studio they have the world’s best Android designer tools, and that by using Microsoft tools developers will have maximum code re-use to support iOS, Android and of course Windows also.

Microsoft will be demonstrating their cross-platform development tools at BUILD 2015 over the next 2 days.
