With a flick of a pen, Microsoft adds support for the Snapdragon 850 to Windows 10 April 2018 update

We wrote a week ago that Microsoft and OEMs were shipping laptops which were powered by the new Snapdragon 850 processor while running the old Windows 10 April 2018 update, which officially does not support that processor.

Now Microsoft has found a creative solution for the problem, and it only took a few keystrokes.

Microsoft has now updated with Windows 10 April 2018 Update datasheet to reflect that the older, unchanged operating system, now fully supports the new processor.

Buyers of the Samsung’s new Galaxy Book2 which recently went on sale from the Microsoft Store, AT&T and Samsung  and the Lenovo’s Yoga C630 should not be able to sleep easy knowing their OS has been fully tested on the hardware and is fully optimised for the processor.
