Winners of embeddedSPARK 2010 contest announced

Microsoft has picked winners in its embeddedSPARK 2010 contest, which saw contestants using Microsoft’s Windows CE operating system in creative ways to win a total of $25 000 in prizes.

The winners were:

  • Marco Bodoira, whose project is known as "Guitar Multi Effect", who won the first $15000 prize
  • George Mallard, a.k.a. "Duck Paddle," whose project is known as "The Bowman’s Assistant" who won $5000
  • "Waldozer" (full name not provided), whose project is known as "Uber Tag" who also won $5000
  • Personally our favourite for geeky fun is Uber Tag, shown in the video above, which uses a Win CE computer and a variety of sensors, including GPS and a wireless module to take Call of Duty to the outdoors.
