Sony’s Crackle is a free app which provides free access to up to 20 full length movies per month, and has been on the Windows Phone platform for around a year.

The company is now running a promotion to give Windows Phone and Windows 8 users free early access to Crackle’s new movie, Extraction, a martial arts movie which is only debuting next week Thursday.

The movie, which stars Danny Glover and Sean Astin, follows U.S. Black Ops specialist Lt. Mercy Callo (Jon Foo), the only survivor of a botched prisoner extraction mission. Forced to fight his way out of a maximum-security Chechen prison, he must keep his target alive to stop a terrorist plot on American soil.crackleqr

The free crackle app, which supports US, Canada, UK and Australia and both Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Phone 8, can be found in the Windows Phone Store here.
