Windows Phone Store redesign kills Reinstaller app

1 of 5It seems the recent Windows Phone Store/ Marketplace changes has broken ReInstaller, the app which makes it easy to re-install your apps after a hard reset.

It was inevitable but the moment has arrived.

when I wrote the Reinstaller app, I was fully aware that any design change on the windowsphone.com will kill it yet I went ahead because I personally suffered from the problem it tried to address. I see that a lot of people benefitted from it as well.

Now that Windows Phone Marketplace has been renamed to Windows Phone store and the website has got a new design, Reinstaller can no longer scrap the app list so it’s not going to work for you anymore.

I’ll get to it right away and depending on the changes required, it can be quick or it can be a while but I’ll get to it and do what is required.

Stay tuned for an app update soon. You can always drop me a line at ashish [at] WPfied.com, if you want a status update 🙂
