Microsoft revealed in a recent presentation that Windows Phone 7 users download on average 50.9 apps as of March 2012.  The number is around the same as was announced for Android in November 2011, and lower than the average of 88 apps iPhone users download per phone announced in March 2012.

Of course the graph shows the number is steadily increasing, and likely higher than the other mobile operating systems at the same stage.

50 apps is of course a pretty large number, and we suggest if any readers are running out of space on their phone to check their Xbox Live trails and other unnecessary apps and delete them if they are unused, likely recovering a GB in the process.
