Windows Phone overtake Blackberry in both Ireland and Italy

When Microsoft and Nokia talk about creating the 3rd mobile ecosystem, there is always the joker that mentions RIM already occupies that position.

That position is however clearly crumbling, especially in USA and Europe, and as can be seen from the graphs above of mobile browser usage, one is clearly inching up while the other heading down.

Windows Phone 7 is already poised into moving from the 1%-ter to 2% category, according to Gartner stats, and Gartner’s Cozza told the Economic Times she expects Windows Phone to reach an 8.6% share of smartphones by the end of the year.

I think by then everyone will be asking – Blackberry who?
