Introducing Sensoria Fitness Smart Sock Tracker

Heapsylon has raised $100,000 on Indiegogo for a new kind of running sensor which will not only tell runners about their stride, but also give information about their exact foot strike, cadence and even posture.

As can be seen in the video above, their gadget consists of:

  1. A smart sock completely made of fabric, which can go through wash & dry cycles.
  2. An electronic anklet that magnetically snaps on the cuff of the sock.
  3. A mobile application that monitors and guides you through real-time audio cues.

One of their stretch goals at $100,000 was Windows Phone support, and it seems the company has now comfortably surpassed that barrier with 10 days to go.

If you are a Windows Phone user and runner, it is still not too late to get in at the ground floor, with $119 and $199 packages still available.

Thanks Cornelius for the tip.
