Windows Phone Hitlinks market share increase 35% Month on Month, 61% over last 3 months

imageIts the beginning of the month again, which means its time for monthly market share numbers.

The latest it Hitlink’s browser market share numbers, which like Statcounter’s numbers is a measure of installed base.

While Windows Phone is still floating below 1% of the more than 1 billion phones world wide, the OS is making good progress, and according to their count increased 35% between April and May, and 61% over the last 3 months, likely on the back of the Nokia Lumia 900 launch in USA. Unfortunately Hitlinks does not give regional numbers, so the main areas of increase can not be confirmed.

Hopefully the graph will continue its upward trend, as it would not take much to overtake Blackberry and Symbian’s word wide web presence, which are both going nowhere but down.
