Windows Phone crosses 20% market share in Finland, starts taking share from iOS, Android

Windows phone has just crossed the 20% market share mark in Finland in Statcounter’s weekly charts, currently clocking in at 20.24% of mobile browser usage in the country.

Up to now Windows Phone has been growing mainly at the expense of Symbian, but also clearly halted the growth Android and iOS in the region in February 2012.

Now however we can see Nokia’s combined platforms (Windows Phone + Symbian+Meego+S40) is close to breaking 30% market share (currently 29.66%) and that there is an associated dip in iOS and Android share.

It seems likely in a few months Nokia’s platforms will once again be the largest in Finland, which is pretty appropriate for the newly revitalized Finnish company.
