As regular readers will know we keep a close eye on Windows Phone’s most successful market a present, Finland, and the latest news is that the Windows Phone 7 installed base as measured by Statcounter has passed 5%, specifically 5.37% today.
The rise has been associated with a drop in Symbian usage, now only 4 times as much as Windows Phone, and also Android usage.
There has been a slight improvement in iOS usage, possibly due to the launch of the iPad, but there has been an overall downwards trend for that OS also.
If the rate of increase continues we may see Windows Phone touch 10% installed base by the start of June, which is pretty good for an OS which many question the relevance of.
