WindowsPhoneHacker have been examining the registry of Windows Phone 8 running in the emulator, and have come across an interesting entry.
They found a reference to KidZone under the Family branch, with accent colour, theme and wallpapers which all suggest they are indeed meant for Windows Phone handsets.
Jaxbot did some detective work and found there was an Android mobile app with the same name which lets parents enable only certain apps and features, thereby making it safe to give your phone to kids to entertain themselves with.
It is not clear of this feature will be implemented in the release of Windows Phone 8 or will be coming later, but it is certainly interesting to see Microsoft cover so many bases with their new Mobile OS.
