Windows Phone 8 SDK landing page pops up

With the Windows Phone SDK already leaked, there are probably few developers waiting with baited breath for its delivery.  It is however an important milestone towards the release of the OS, and actually somewhat late if handsets are to hit the market in 8 week’s time.

It is therefore significant that a landing page for the software has already popped up on, and it is hopefully a sign that it is soon to be finalized and released, so developers can start working (officially) on Windows Phone 8 specific apps for Marketplace.

Windows Phone 8 bring several new features for developers, including the ability to use native code in applications, and new APIs such as background agents for GPS navigation and to manipulate the lock screen. The full set of consumer features have yet to be announced by Microsoft however, and we hope to hear a lot more on the 5th September  via Nokia World.
