Windows Phone 7 Metro UI now also in Internet Explorer 9

Its starting to look the the Metro UI that Microsoft is so proud of in Windows Phone 7 is in fact the next direction for desktop Windows also.

Chinese blog LiveSino.net have some leaked pictures of what they claim to be the next beta release of Internet Explorer 9, apparently set to be released in May 2009.  The user interface features so-called “chrome-less” web pages and a very minimalistic user interface based on the very narrow task bar, and includes the iconic cut off text and symbols of the ZuneHD and Windows Phone 7 series.

Now we can not be sure this is not an AFD mock-up but if real it could do a lot for the cohesiveness of the Windows ecosystem.
