We were somewhat suspicious of a September push for Windows Phone 7.5 Mango yesterday, as it seemed rather early. The date was supposed to coincide with the big European consumer electronics show IFA which starts on September 1st and was confirmed by Pocket-lint’s “trusted sourcesâ€.
Now Joe Belfiore, the corporate vice president and director of Windows Phone Program Management, has poured some cold water on the rumour, saying it is just that.
Of course we could still be surprised, but in our estimate we will probably see devices being released in October, on the anniversary of the first Windows Phone 7 release in late October 2010, and the OS update start being pushed out by some carriers around the same time too.
