At CES Microsoft has shown of their over the top set top box TV solution based on Windows Embedded Standard (a subset of Windows 7) and Windows Media centre.
Of particular interest to Windows Phone 7 users would be a box from Reycom, a Swiss company, with a TV tuner, access to Internet content and a Blu-ray player.
Reycom’s "REC 7" will work as a digital video recorder and stream video around the home to PCs, Xbox 360 consoles and home servers. It can be controlled with a remote control but also from a Windows Phone 7 device.
The box is based on Intel’s Atom processor and Nvidia’s Ion graphics system and should hit USA in the first quarter.
