Microsoft has started updating its applications in the store starting with Photos and Camera earlier today eventually updating its new universal Maps app.

The new update does not include a changelog but seems to have fixed the search issue. There is also a new Street Side layer in the app to toggle on or off, and I reckon that there are bug fixes and improvements under the hood.
