Microsoft is finally releasing a Windows 10 Fall Creators Update to Windows Insiders in the Slow Ring. Since the Windows 10 Creators Update started rolling out in April, Microsoft has only been releasing Insider Preview releases to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring. That’s changing today, with the release of Windows 10 build 16232.
Build 16232 includes most of the features that Microsoft will be shipping with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update in September. Microsoft has been adding a ton of new features and improvements throughout the OS over the past few months to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring, and it’s finally ready for those on the Slow Ring, too.
There’s quite a lot of new things in build 16232 if you are a Windows Insider in the Slow Ring. Notable additions include Fluent Design for the Action Center and the Start Menu, improvements to the inking and book reading experience on Microsoft Edge (as well as the usual performance enhancements), and new Cortana features. Microsoft has also added the new My People experience which you can try out by installing 16232, and the new Story Remix experience in Microsoft Photos will also be available to some users. There’s also a new emoji picker (along with new and improved emoji) and a brand-new touch keyboard with swiping abilities and improved inking features.
Put it simply, build 16232 is effectively a new major Windows 10 feature update for those in the Slow Ring. It includes almost all of the Fall Creators Update features and there’s a lot of things to check out if you are a Slow Ring Insider. So make sure to grab the update by heading over to Windows Update in the Slow Ring.
