Windows 10 will include developer APIs to toggle WIFI, Bluetooth and other settings

The WIFI toggle in the action centre in Windows 10 Mobile still takes you to WIFI settings, but it seems Windows 10 Mobile will soon allow developers to create apps which bypass the toggle completely, and switch connections on and off directly.

The biggest implication is not just that an app can be created with a more simplified UI, but also that apps can potentially create profiles for home, the office, the afternoon, when you are driving and various other situations, giving a lot more freedom to developers and users.
