Microsoft is today releasing a new Windows 10 Redstone 4 build to all Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring for the first time ever. Redmond has been testing some of the early builds of Windows 10 Redstone 4 with Windows Insiders who were part of Skip Ahead, but it’s now bringing Redstone 4 to all Insiders in the Fast Ring with the release of build 17017.
Windows 10 Redstone 4 build 17017 comes with a major new feature: Cortana Collections. This new feature will make it easier for you to make collections of your favorite TV shows, movies, articles, things you want to buy, and a lot more. Microsoft is also getting rid of the proactive notifications and tips that show up within Cortana, and those will now show up on the Action Center instead rather than showing it both in the Action Center and Cortana like it used to in the past.
Microsoft is also finally modernizing the user-interface that lets you enable apps to startup when your Windows 10 device boots up, and these Startup Apps now have a dedicated section in the modern Settings app of Windows 10 in Redstone 4.
Windows 10 Redstone 4 Build 17017 includes a bunch of other minor improvements and bug fixes, which you can check out right now if you are a Windows Insider in the Fast Ring.
