Microsoft’s Windows 10 Messaging app is about to gain quite a few new features on the road to “messaging everywhere“, but the firm is still improving the experience here and there.
The new Windows 10 AU insider build came with a new build of the messaging app in tow, bumping the app to version 2.15.29013. This update doesn’t add much, but the little it does add improves the UX immensely.
Previously on Windows Phone 8 – 10 November Update, if you requested your carrier deliver a delivery notification, your device would sent you a text message from your carrier informing you that Granny Smith had received your message. As you would imagine, that got old pretty quickly, and some users would prefer to keep the feature turned off.
Now, on the newest messaging update allows you to receive these messages inline, with nothing but a “delivered” notification appearing underneath the text in question.
You do not have to do anything to get this update. If you are on the fast ring, this is installed automatically. For users considering the fast ring update, please be aware that there are a few bugs that may mar your experience.
