Last month, Microsoftannounced that Windows 10 is installed on more than 75 million devices. Obviously, this is an impressive number as Windows 10 launched just over a month ago. Today, a new report from Petri’s Brad Sams, Windows 10 is now installed on more than 81 million devices.

This is indeed a decent number of installs. However, as you may have noticed, the number of installs is slowing down — and that’s expected as most users who’re planning to upgrade to Windows 10 have already upgraded to the latest and greatest version of Windows. It’s also worth noting that Microsoft is delivering Windows 10 as a free upgrade to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users in waves, meaning that some users probably didn’t get the upgrade offer just yet. And obviously, the free upgrade offer helped Microsoft boost Windows 10 installs in the first month.
