We are not sure if this is connected to Nawzil’s announcement, but right on schedule a Windows 10 for Phones handset with a build number of 10.0.X has shown up on benchmarking site WPBench.

The device is running OS 10.0.11345.0, and according to a roadmap published by ITHome.com may hit Developer Preview in May 2015.

Windows 10 for phones is expected to feature a user interface with elements of Windows Phone and Windows 8.1, such as side by side apps, and will be on both tablets and phones.

We expect Microsoft to show off the new OS at Mobile World Congress 2015, with the first devices running it hitting the market later in the year.

Thanks DH Dog for the tip.
