Microsoft today announced the business focused features that will be part of the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update. One of the new features they are bringing is mobile application management. This new feature that will protect data on personal devices without requiring the device to be enrolled in a Mobile Device Management solution. IT Admins can protect their corporate data on personal devices of employees without installing MDM solutions.

For example, if a user tries to copy company data from Outlook mail and paste it in his/her personal document, an error message will be shown to them saying that IT Admin has restricted behavior. This helps keep corporate data more secure without taking on the added responsibility of managing employees’ personal devices. Watch the video above to know how it works. Microsoft already offers similar MAM solution as part of their Intune offering. It is not clear how this new Windows 10 feature is different from Intune’s MAM.
