Long Zheng from istartedsomething.com is making a pretty good case for Windows 8 tablets having phone capability.
The above slide from the BUILD 2011 session on tiles and notifications clearly shows a Windows Phone 7-like missed call and text messaging tile.
Next, the above screen shot from a video demo by Windows Live via WinRumors, shows the ability to initiate text chatting, send SMS messages and initiate mobile phone calls from the “People†app.
Lastly, the Windows 8 certified 3G chipsets also support making phone calls.
We have head a lot of Windows 8 unifying Windows Phone and the desktop OS. Is the above the best evidence for this so far?
