WindowsPhoneApps.es reports on the latest WhatsApp beta, which includes a new feature which could offer more control over your data usage if you are on a limited plan.
In the latest version of the Windows Phone App there is now the option to select if the app will automatically download video, audio and images send to you. Previously the app would download these large attachments automatically, which would dramatically increase your data usage over simply sending text. Now users will be able to download one what really interests them.
Given WhatsApp’s torrid rate of development on Windows Phone it should not be long before the update shows up on our handsets.
