WhatsApp rolls out a new update for its beta app on Android, brings “Swipe to Reply” feature

Sometime back we reported that WhatsApp is planning to bring Swipe to reply feature to the Android devices. The feature has been there in iOS for a while but was missing on Android.

However, the company just rolled out a new update to its beta channel which brings the Swipe to reply feature to Android devices. The new update also bumps the app to v2.18.300. You can check out how the new feature works in the GIF below.

The new update is currently available just for the beta users and is expected to roll out to the public in a month or so. For now, you can download the beta update from the Play Store or if you want to try out the new update then you can sign up as a beta tester on Play Store. Do note that the beta app will be unstable and might cause issues.
