WhatsApp is planning to bring the Swipe to reply feature for Android devices. The feature debuted for iOS devices with the ability to reply to individual messages but has been missing from Android.
In a recent beta update, WABetaInfo spotted traces of the feature but is hidden right now. The feature still needs several improvements before the official rollout. Not only that, WABetaInfo also confirmed that WhatsApp is working on bringing Dark Mode for both iOS and Android devices. With the Swipe to Reply feature users will be able to swipe a message that they want to reply to and WhatsApp will automatically load the message in the reply context.
Like the Swipe to Reply feature, Dark Mode is also under development right now and will be available in the future updates.
I’m happy to exclusively give the good news: WhatsApp is finally working on a Dark Mode! It’s a dream ?
There are many important secret references in recent updates!Be patient to see it out, hoping it will be FULL OLED friendly for Android phones, iPhone X and newer!

WhatsApp has added plenty of features to the app recently but still lacks features when compared to apps like Telegram. We do hope that the company brings the promised features like Picture-in-Picture view, and Dark Mode soon.
