WhatsApp is finally working to bring Picture-in-Picture mode for Android users

WhatsApp has finally started working on Picture-in-Picture mode for Android users. The company earlier released the feature for iOS but has been keeping quiet on the release for Android.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s latest beta update consists of the traces that go back to Picture-in-Picture mode. You can head below to take a look at Picture-in-Picture mode in action on WhatsApp for Android.

WhatsApp will enable Picture-in-Picture mode for YouTube and Instagram in the future and will add a play button next to the video thumbnail. Pressing the button will open a small window to play the video while the user can navigate through the app.

WhatsApp hasn’t given any timeline as to when the feature will be available for the users but we will keep you updated for when it does show up.
