WhatsApp today released an update for its official Windows Phone app. The update doesn’t include a changelog – however, the update includes support for the company’s web client.
For those of you who don’t know, WhatsApp revealed its web client, WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com). As you may expect, the web client needs to connect with the smartphone first — to do so, you’ll need to scan the QR code by navigating to WhatsApp Web on the app. It’s worth mentioning that the web client doesn’t support Internet Explorer or any other browser except Google Chrome which is pretty unfortunate if you don’t use Chrome.
Nonetheless, the latest update is now live on the Windows Phone Store and you can grab it from here.
