Westminster City Council Goes Windows Phone

In an interview with v3.co.uk, Westminster City Council’s Chief Information Officer David Wilde said that their staff members (about 600 of them) were given the choice of choosing between a HTC Windows Phone device and Balckberry device. Currently 250 have chosen Windows Phone and  350 in favour of BlackBerry. According to David,

The Windows platform is far better for certain tasks like downloading  attachments than the iPhone, and we offer both devices as we can deliver them  for the same price.

Its good to see adoption of Windows Phones among enterprise given their late entry into current generation smartphone world. Windows Phone Mango with more Enterprise friendly features should drive more organisations towards it.
