Watch the full 2014 Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 and enterprise mobility summit

Microsoft and The Register have recently hosted a Mobility Summit in UK where they discussed cloud and enterprise mobility and the role Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 8.

Chris Webber, ex-Nokia and now from Microsoft, confirmed that there is now 255,000 apps in the Windows Phone Store, and in total around 400,000 Windows Phone and Windows 8 apps.

The IDC was also present at the event, and explained that there is a growing trend against Bring Your On Device, with employees increasingly resistant to using their own phones for work.
