A few years ago, it turns out that video game developer N-Space was creating a Mega Bloks version of the popular Halo title, aptly titled ‘Mega Bloks Halo’. Game historian Andrew Borman of PtoPOnline came across footage of the cancelled title, showing off a build of the game from November 2013.

The game, which was developed for the Xbox 360 console, would have been a 3rd person shooter featuring Master Chief wielding weapons from the Halo universe and fighting enemies from the Covenant, including Grunts, Elites, and Hunters. In addition to this, gamers could build custom vehicles and structures, including the Warthog, Scorpion, and Ghost, adding weapons and accessories to the vehicles as the player progressed through the game.

A co-op campaign mode was also supposed to be added to the game, according to the leaked build, and a mode called Besieged where you fight waves of enemies while defending a base. The game also featured audio ripped from the actual Halo game.

However, the title was cancelled due to timing, as it was developed toward the end of life of the Xbox 360, when the Xbox One was hitting the market. Adding insult to injury, developer N-Space closed down last year, so it’s unlikely that the game will ever see the light of day.

All we have now is the leaked gameplay video above.
