Watch: Acer’s Mixed Reality headset unboxed and demoed

VR aficionado Sean Og has managed to get his hands on the developer edition of Acer’s Mixed Reality headset, and in the video below he gives it a good going over, demonstrating the setup procedure and giving us a good taste of the experience Windows users will have access to at the end of the year when these headsets finally hit the market.

Besides the obvious technical improvements of the platform, which includes 6 Degree of Freedom inside out tracking and support for 20,000 UWP apps, the headset also includes some basic consumer-friendly features not found on other VR platforms, such as being extremely light, having flip-up visors and face sensors, meaning it is very easy to pop into and out of mixed reality, and of course being relatively cheap.
