“Around the Wire” is a 2d arcade game, built around spinning and jumping on specific waypoints. At first, it’s very hard to master controls and physics, but when you do, it gives a very natural fell about this spinning and jumping process with lot of room to evolve your skill.
Character has limited hit points, and they decrease over time when you keep hanging on waypoints, like these are your own muscles. By landing you receive some HP, so game is always pushing you to move, to enter a specific, continuous flow. Depending on how good or bad you land, you receive a very different score.
There also are some others points, which push, pull or shoot and do other nasty stuff with a character. Combined, they give an indeed various gameplay from level to level.
To progress through game you need to earn droids by completing levels and its tasks. Getting them unlocks new levels, bonus stages, and repairs your ship.
This game is in free section in the store, but it performs more like a paid app with a free trial. First 10 levels are free, after you can decide either you need it or not. Full Game Version costs 2.99$, and it includes 40 levels on 3 locations, and any future updates.
Game is now available exclusively at Windows Phone Store, and it works at WP8 and WP 8.1 OS.
