Vodafone RED Box contact transfer ad features Nokia Lumia 800

Vodafone’s RED Box service allows users to easily jump from one phone to another by transferring  your address book, photos, videos and music from your old phone to your new one by simply connecting both to their mystery RED Box.

While the service is actually very useful, and supports 3000 phones, what is of interest to us is the casual use of a Nokia Lumia 800 to represent a generic smartphone for a user upgrading from a flip phone.

Vodafone in fact does this in some of their other marketing, which is of course a real win for Windows Phone trying to move the public away from expecting a smartphone simply to feature a row of icons.

Thanks G.D. for the tip.
