VLC for Windows Phone facing certification issues, but here is a sneak peak

Remember the VLC for Windows Phone Beta which was supposed to arrive two days ago? Its still not here. Before you gather the torches and the pitchforks though, we would like to point out that this is not the fault of the developers. Yesterday VLC tweeted that they had had issues with certification and they would try again later. They did. Twice. Apparently, while their app had passed local certification, the store denied them entry because of issues with the apis used. However, the dev in charge tweeted”Yeah… so those functions are documented as authorized, yet the store validation complains.  ”

Submission attempt number 3, waiting for result, but with better hopes this time!

They’ve reached out to Microsoft on this issue but have doubts about seeing any resolution soon seeing as it’s Thanksgiving weekend in the US where the company is based. In other words, its not likely that we would get VLC today.

Thomas did however upload the sneak peek video above which shows off the new app.

Still looking forward to VLC? Let us know in the comments?
