Viu2 delivers world-wide music streaming for free, wins LG Optimus 7 from Microsoft

Sigurd Snorteland has won a Norwegian Visual Studio contest by porting over his silverlight web app Vui2 to Windows Phone 7.

The software, similar to Grooveshark, allows the streaming of web repositories of music, including YouTube, for free, and of course works worldwide.

Sigurd won an LG Optimus 7, but I think we are the real winners here, with another free music streaming app, especially since the Zune music service is not available worldwide.

Viu2 is available for free in Marketplace here.
