After having had a few days to toy with SHBT’s MyHome, I finally found the time to make a quick video to give you a walkthrough of this useful utility. MyHome is basically a Today Screen replacement shell which is easy to use, very functional and really quite pleasant to look at.
There are several programs of it’s type available which all have their pros and cons. Regardless of whatever similar software one uses to achieve a Today Screen replacement, if any, identifying positives and negatives will vary between individuals own personal preferences. Overall, I really enjoy having MyHome on my handset, and it will continue to be a part of my arsenal of software thats gets used on a daily basis.
My biggest gripes of MyHome were the fact that the native Windows Mobile contacts client were my only option without reverting back to TouchFlo3D, and having to update the weather manually. Other than that, I really like this software. Alot. Say what you will, but it definitely serves it’s purpose for me.
That being said, watch the review for yourself and see what you think. Please bear in mind that as a newly appointed Associate Editor to mspoweruser.com, this is my very first time in undertaking the task to do a video review, and in fact, the first video I have ever been involved in making period. I can only hope that my proficiency and skill at doing so in future video reviews continues to be of better quality and an overall better viewing experience for our visitors.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to the man that assisted in the making of this video, my very good friend Greg McGrew. I absolutely could not have done this without him. Thanks buddy.
Appreciation also to SHBT Software for allowing mspoweruser.com to review such a terrific piece of software. You can head to their site to pick up your copy of MyHome and SHBT Weather for just under $20 USD.
