Samsung will be remembered as one of the early adopters of the folding technology. The South Korean company, with the Galaxy Fold, showed us what they can do and while it received a tremendous amount of praise for that from tech enthusiasts, and from experts across the world, Samsung’s Galaxy Fold ended up going back to the drawing board, thanks to the lackluster display issue.
Now, Samsung is eyeing this month for the official launch, and to be specific, they are eyeing the end of July. Add to that, Samsung has started the manufacturing process in India, and that means users in India can expect Samsung’s first foldable smartphone soon. According to leakster Ishan Agarwal, Samsung has started manufacturing the phone in India and is likely to formally launch it in the country very soon( Via MySmartPrice).
However, it’s unlikely that we will see Galaxy Fold going on sale in India alongside other countries where the smartphone is set to hit in the first phase. Put simply, users in India won’t be able to get the Galaxy Fold soon after the July launch.
The rumor of the Galaxy Fold hitting the market by the end of July was backed by the Samsung Display Vice President Kim Seong-cheol. The vice president went on saying that most of the display problems have been ironed out and that it is ready to hit the market.
If forced to conjecture, I’d say wait for at least two to three months after the global launch for the Galaxy Fold smartphone to launch in India.
Galaxy Fold features the world’s first 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display, which folds into a compact device with a cover display. Galaxy Fold offers a powerful new way to multitask, watch videos, play games, and more. You can see the official full specs of the Galaxy Fold smartphone here.
