Ubisoft may be attempting to take on Electronic Arts in a new subscription service titled Ubisoft Pass Premium.
Spotted by a user on Resetera, a placeholder for the alleged service appeared on the official Ubisoft Store before promptly being deleted.
Ubisoft Pass Premium was listed under a suspicious “Ubisoft subscription” category which still exists. However, Ubisoft does not offer any form of subscription services leading us to believe that this would be a huge announcement for their upcoming E3 2019 conference.
With Electronic Arts’ EA Access doing well over the past few years, it only makes sense for Ubisoft to follow suit. Since PlayStation is finally allowing services such as EA Access onto their console, it may be time for Ubisoft to shine.

With “Games as a Service” titles such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and The Division 2 being Ubisoft’s focus from now on, a constant subscription-like revenue stream may be a good option for the company. With backward compatibility for a tonne of Ubisoft titles being available on Xbox One platforms, a lot of their titles would easily be added onto the service for launch.
