Uber rolls out a new update for Windows Phone

Uber has rolled out a new update for Windows Phone users which is strange since the taxi aggregator pulled off the support for Windows Phones 3 months ago. However, don’t get too excited because the latest update doesn’t bring any new changes or features to the app. Instead, the app when opened shows a message indicating the end of Uber support for Windows Phone from June 1, 2018. The solution for Windows Phone users is to open the mobile website and book cabs. Unf0rtunately, we don’t have access to the unofficial PWA for Uber as well since it was pulled off by Microsoft last month.

However, Uber notes that the company officially supports only iPhone (iOS 7 or newer) and Android (Jelly Bean or newer). So if you have those devices then you can head to the respective store and download the Uber app. If you’re a Windows Phone user then you can head to the Microsoft Store and download the Uber app since there is no alternative so you might as well do it now. The app was not found in the store. 🙁
