U.S. Cellular, the 7th biggest US carrier with about 5.8 million subscribers, are shaming Sprint by committing to offering a Windows Phone 8 handset to subscribers this fall.
The company’s PR told PCMag that they were “excited†to carry a Windows Phone 8 handset, saying "We believe in giving our customers the latest technology and device options and we are excited about the Windows 8 phone. It will be an important part of our device lineup going forward."
The company joins T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon in committing to offering Windows Phone, leaving Sprint, Cricket and MetroPCS as hold-outs.
US Cellular already offers the HTC 7 Pro and offered a range of Windows Mobile handsets in the past.
