Supporting 3rd party APIs such as those of YouTube can be hard work, with the target constantly changing.

That means apps need to be regularly updated to take account of the latest changes.

Fortunately Tubecast and Playcast developer poppyto appears to be up to the job, and has just posted some updates to his two streaming video apps.

Tubecast has been updated to version 1.6.0.7. The update addresses another issues with signed YouTube videos such as Vevo videos and also brings a fix for true full screen video on the desktop.

Playcast, his streaming video app which is designed to stream your own video from your desktop or phone to the TV, has also been updated to version 0.8.0.4.

The update brings a fix for keeping the same volume on AppleTV after each session.
